Sacred Heart transfer Cane Broome down to 4: NC State, Cinncinnati, Creighton, Seton Hall

Cane Broome, who earned Player of the Year honors in the Northeastern Conference this past season, has four finalists, per ESPN's Jeff Borzello, and NC State made the cut. Broome averaged more than 23 points per game for Sacred Heart, which finished the season 12-18 overall.

As an undergraduate transfer, Broome will have to sit out the 2016-17 season, which is fine since NC State doesn't really need major guard help until the following season. Terry Henderson will be a senior in '16-'17, and Dennis Smith is almost certainly a one-and-done kid (he's still in the top 10 in mock drafts despite his injury), which will leave plenty of available playing time alongside Torin Dorn and Maverick Rowan.

I imagine he'd slide into the two-guard spot, while covering the point when needed. He's no stranger to a high workload or playing a ton of minutes, either. He was on the floor about as much as Cat Barber this season.
