NC State men's swimming finishes 4th at NCAAs, wins first-ever relay title

It's been a good year for non-revenue sports at NC State, headlined by the wrestling and swimming programs. Wrestling finished 11th at the NCAAs, while the swimming programs delivered a pair of top-10 finishes. The women finished ninth, and the men were fourth overall, tying the school record for highest finish that was set in 1955.

That's four consecutive top-15 finishes for the men's team, which also earned its first-ever relay national title this year. State's group of Simonas Bilis, Ryan Held, Soren Dahl, and Andreas Schiellerup won the 400 free with a time of 2:46.81. It was the final event of the NCAAs, so that was a pretty great way to go out and finish off another outstanding year.

NC State is on pace for its best-ever finish in the Director's Cup, thanks in large part to the efforts from its non-revenue sports. The Wolfpack is currently 14th nationally, and that does not include the points it will earn from the men's swimming team's great finish.
