The #goacc Moment of the Week (10/7/2015)

The weekly in-depth look at the best (worst?) moments in ACC schadenfreude.

Just in time for the Pack's game against Virginia Tech last week, #goacc King Frank Beamer won yet again after he made some really stupid comments about ECU being an exhibition opponent...right after the Hokies lost to ECU. Moving on to this week, we've got a TREMENDOUS lineup for you to vote on. Seriously, this is such a spectacular slate of entries I'm almost giddy how excited I am about it. Our good buddy JR is back this week as well, and he's got more of his legendary commentary to share with y'all. And with that, it's time to vote. Which is your #goacc Moment of the Week? Vote below!

1. Miami created a webpage to troll FSU fans (h/t @MiamiHurricanes).

We've noticed an influx of FSU fans tweeting at us this week. As such, we encourage you to post here, instead: http://t.co/z1QxIBvgZQ

— Miami Hurricanes (@MiamiHurricanes) October 6, 2015

This is just great. Wish it would make different sound effects each time something's typed in, but hey, the reactions after gullible FSU fans typed something in would be priceless to see.

2. This Clemson fan tries a wild dance move that ends in a spectacularly painful fashion (h/t @THEKIDMERO).

WATCHED THIS 1000X. HIGHLIGHTS: -THE " " HAND CLENCH -BRO THAT CLICKS HIS HEELS -DUDE HIT SO HARD HE LOST A SHOE http://pic.twitter.com/CScreJaAty

— The Kid Mero (@THEKIDMERO) October 6, 2015
There's no way that kid isn't concussed. Yeouch. Speaking of Clemson fans....

3. Here's a Clemson fan diving head first into the mud at GameDay! (h/t @bubbaprog).

— Timothy Burke (@bubbaprog) October 3, 2015

I mean, when it's pouring rain at GameDay, why not just jump in the mud?

4. Former football player Eddie Goines was featured in a bizarre hype video about NC State (h/t to our own @akulawolf).

when you think this is shaping up into a pretty good highlight video and then the crazy Eddie Goines part starts https://t.co/T5IzpcwoNV

— Steven (@akulawolf) October 2, 2015

Like Akula says, this video starts off just about any basic hype video...until you get to the part where Eddie starts narrating at about 1:50, and this just starts going all over the place. I will admit though, I did get a tad hyped watching it, but man is that video weird.

5. The Fire Al Golden crowd just won't give up (h/t @Kenyon19_BR).

#FireAlGolden is alive in Cincinnati. http://pic.twitter.com/BcpmChxhwC

— David Kenyon (@Kenyon19_BR) October 1, 2015

You know, at what point does Miami just say screw it and fire Golden just to stop this nonsense? Or, from Golden's point of view, how much longer is he going to deal with this himself?

6. ESPN accidentally interrupted Dabo's passionate postgame interview (h/t @Deadspin).

OOPS http://pic.twitter.com/NzFE0iwGaa

— Deadspin (@Deadspin) October 4, 2015
Hoo boy is the timing of this bad. Plus, how awkward is it to just see the ESPN anchors just chilling at their desk why they are unknowingly live on television? Someone probably got a stern talking to about this mistake, I'd bet.

7. This Georgia Tech fan can't believe it.

— Will Thompson (@thrillis4) October 3, 2015

After blowing a 21-0 lead to UNC at home and subsequently losing the game, I think I'd make that face, too.

8. The NC State Marching Band made a Death Star formation that looks more like a PokeBall (h/t @joeovies).

Good job, good effort on the Death Star. http://pic.twitter.com/WdmqTHU2SL

— Joe Ovies (@joeovies) October 3, 2015

MARCHING BAND uses FORMATION!

....It's not very effective....

9. Jim Caldwell remains an expressionless robot (h/t @whoisjoserivera).

when you look at your phone after a night of drinking and you see that you texted your ex -- like, a lot http://pic.twitter.com/X9pmJCjGl1

— Jose Rivera (@whoisjoserivera) October 6, 2015

Has anyone ever seen Jim Caldwell move his face? Someone needs to run the emotion dot exe file for his programming.

10. ESPN listed Boston College's kicker at 85 pounds (h/t @mikemaniscalco and @lebrownlow).

If you need facts, the world wide leader has them. @lebrownlow http://pic.twitter.com/f1ADaMhP0d

— Mike Maniscalco (@mikemaniscalco) October 5, 2015

After seeing this mistake, I can only picture Boston College's kicker as the skinny dude from the movie Road Trip.

And now, for your moment of wrasslin'...

THE JIM ROSS BAH GAWD MOMENT(s) OF THE WEEK!!

Good ol' JR is back to provide some legendary commentary, and today he's got some thoughts on both college football and the NFL. First, let's see what he had to say after watching the Ole Miss-Florida game:

Florida player gets suplexed by Ole Miss, as called by Jim Ross! https://t.co/RidRSe8R9i

— Will Thompson (@thrillis4) October 4, 2015

That's a hell of a suplex, Ole Miss player.

Next, let's head to the NFL, where JR saw a brutal tackle from Mario Williams in the Bills game:

Mario Williams destroys the Giants, as called by Jim Ross!! (Original vine via @MattJ_onNFL) https://t.co/rftlywCZ7r

— Will Thompson (@thrillis4) October 4, 2015

See y'all next week!
