Clemson vs NC State odds: Wolfpack opens as 9.5-point underdog

NC State is coming off its first conference victory of the season, but the party can't last long with the best team on the Wolfpack's schedule up next. Clemson is outscoring opponents on average by about 24 points per game, and the Tigers are early 9.5-point favorites to beat the Wolfpack in Raleigh.

Clemson is not getting nearly the credit it deserves this season--this is a Tigers team that put up 34 on BC's outstanding defense, beat Louisville on the road and Notre Dame at home, and crushed a pretty solid App State team. Forget about the rankings; Clemson might be the best team in the country. I think Clemson is the best team in the country, actually, and considering the weakness displayed by Florida State this season, it's hard to imagine anything preventing the Tigers from playing for an ACC title.

That's an impressive achievement for a program that lost a significant amount of talent in the last NFL Draft. People thought the Tigers' defense might be a problem, which hasn't even remotely been the case.

So that's what NC State has to contend with. Clemson is progressing toward a potentially historic season, with little ahead to trip it up, and so in conclusion, we're going to win?
