Cat Barber's hilarious distraction tactics no match for Abdul-Malik Abu's cool under pressure

Guys, our free throw defense may stink annually for some odd reason, but it ain't for lack of trying. See the video below, where NC State players are doing their best to make their teammates miss freebies. Unfortunately for Torin Dorn, he missed and had to pay the penalty (runnin'!), but Abdul-Malik Abu?

No problems at all.

(Good idea for a practice drill, by the way.)

I do not know how he made this show with Cat Barber doing what he is doing underneath the basket. I have watched this video like five times and laugh every time. I'd probably have thrown the ball out of the window attempting the free throw.

There is so much I like about this video it's hard to know where to start. That Cat Barber move is actually how I walk around all day after we win a game in basketball or football. Doctor says I might eventually get stuck walking that way, but it's worth it, I think. Also, Abu's stare-down of the camera after his shot bounces through--if he does this to an opponent's student section this season, my life will be complete and I will be able to die happy.

On a related note, ESPN's Seth Greenberg was in the house to watch practice Friday and posted some observations on Twitter.

NCSU PRACTICING with a 25 second clock. Every practice I have attended coaches are playing with short clock. "FLOW"
