If you think NC State gets some raw deals, have a gander and what South Carolina and Randy Edsall have been through this week. The Gamecocks are playing at LSU instead of hosting the Tigers because of the massive flooding problems in South Carolina, which is not ideal for a 2-3 team. (But far less important than the safety of the folks in South Carolina.)
Randy Edsall, meanwhile, already knows he is going to be fired, it's merely a matter of when (most likely after this weekend). And Maryland is playing at Ohio State this weekend. That should be fun and definitely not at all awkward for anyone involved.
Anyway, NC State-Virginia Tech is officially the first Big Game of the weekend. Because it's on Friday night. But still. Saturday features Texas' ongoing disaster tour, plus some intriguing mid-afternoon games, including Georgia Tech-Clemson and Northwestern-Michigan. (Raise your hand if you had those latter two teams in the top 20 at this point. PUT YOUR HAND DOWN, LIAR.)
