Conference play is here! (In a very small dose.) Syracuse and Wake Forest get together this weekend, while in the SEC we've got Mississippi State against LSU, Kentucky is at South Carolina, and Georgia plays Vanderbilt. Feel that excitement!
Fortunately, there's also a non-conference game between Oregon and Michigan State, which is easily the highlight of an otherwise dull weekend. Sparty hung in tough in Eugene last season before succoming to Marcus Mariota but should have the advantage this time around, considering the defensive weaknesses Oregon showed in Week 1.
East Carolina is in Gainesville for a game that could theoretically be interesting but probably won't be now that Florida's ejected Will Muschamp from the immediate area. Oklahoma-Tennessee will be an interesting barometer game for both programs, but the Vols aren't quite there there yet, and that should show.
In the early round of games, keep an eye on Bowling Green/Maryland; the Falcons seem capable of scoring enough points to pull off the victory there.
