The #goacc Moment of the Week (9/16/2015)

The weekly in-depth look at the best (worst?) moments in ACC schadenfreude.

We had another tremendous week last week that featured a neck and neck battle that was ultimately won by ONE vote as of the time of this post by Marquise Williams' no good, horrible, very bad day. But if you thought last week was a difficult decision...hoooooooly hell y'all, better carve out some time in your day to make your choice, because this is about as strong a lineup of #goacc as we've ever had. I mean, I've got legitimately no idea who's going to win. And of course, now that we're getting football season cranked up, our buddy good ol' JR is back to lend us his legendary commentary. So let's get right down to it - which is your #goacc Moment of the Week? Vote below!

1. Was there a last minute change to the schedules for NC State and UNC? (h/t @jamesleegilbert).

@lebrownlow From TV Guide app (Greensboro) http://pic.twitter.com/vbzNDjW0q3

— James Gilbert (@jamesleegilbert) September 15, 2015

Hold up, this is from the TV Guide app based in GREENSBORO?? *Jackie Chiles voice* It's egregious, outrageous, preposterous!

2. Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio made some dumb comments about Florida State, then felt the wrath of #FSUTwitter (h/t @ESPN_ACC and @FSView).

First, let's take a look at what Rubio said:

Presidential candidate Marco Rubio: Florida State is for Florida rejects http://t.co/oQnIIGKwFD

— ESPN ACC (@ESPN_ACC) September 15, 2015

Yikes. It's not wise to stir the hornets nest that is #FSUTwitter like that, Marco. Given that you are a senator from that state, I feel like you should know that. Unsurprisingly, it didn't take long for #FSUTwitter to respond, and even Florida State's PRESIDENT got involved:

UPDATE: FSU president John Thrasher sends a message back to Marco Rubio. http://t.co/EmwedJv2NZ http://pic.twitter.com/1niAxveCLj

— FSView (@FSView) September 15, 2015

Incineration!

3. NC State's media guide points out that Coach Huxtable looks exactly like the Dos Equis Most Interesting Man in the World (h/t @marilyn_payne and @PowellLatimerNR).

#goacc moment of the week early favorite (as pointed out by @PowellLatimerNR) at NC State. ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ http://pic.twitter.com/dtuBPcsCo8

— Marilyn Payne (@marilyn_payne) September 14, 2015

I don't know how I never made this connection before, but this is absolutely sensational.

4. So...what happened with the announcer in the Eastern Kentucky game? (h/t @civilian_wolf).

@WXMoose @akulawolf I was really surprised at all of the gems in last night's ESPN3 broadcast. This one killed me: http://t.co/pieuOdYkpD

— Tim (@Civilian_Wolf) September 13, 2015

It's like he just had a brain fart and bowed his head hoping the camera would cut away. Poor guy.

5. Julius Hodge is the absolute best.

@CP3 https://t.co/5rgfhcMFrK

— Julius Hodge (@Follow24Hodge) September 13, 2015

If you click the link in that tweet, it'll take you to a video of a BYU player punching a Boise State player below the belt. Welp, Julius made sure to point this out to Chris Paul, which given their history from college is absolutely amazing. Twitter is the best.

6. Here are the keys to the Wake Forest-Syracuse game presented by Ford! (h/t to our own @Akulawolf).

Are these really keys to anything http://pic.twitter.com/HA1ml09GDv

— Steven (@akulawolf) September 12, 2015

"Play old?" What the damn hell does that mean? And really, has the whole "hardnosed" thing really worked out for Syracuse at all during the Scott Shafer era?

7. Tyrod Taylor, you just won your first game as starting QB for the Buffalo Bills. How will you celebrate? (h/t @bomani_jones).

tyrod. bruh. http://pic.twitter.com/jFEGkHJDrM

— El Flaco (@bomani_jones) September 13, 2015

By wearing a shirt with electric barbed wire patterns on it, it would seem.

8. Noted #nanobubbles enthusiast Russell Wilson got owned by the St. Louis Rams' twitter account (h/t @STLouisRams).

Hey @DangeRussWilson, don't delete this... https://t.co/MJmLa9lUDW

— St. Louis Rams (@STLouisRams) September 13, 2015

If you click the link to Russell's tweet there, you'll see he tweeted "1-0." Yeah, that's all well and good...except they lost to the Rams. Maybe if he drinks more #nanobubbles, he'll tweet better.

9. UVA lost in heartbreaking fashion to Notre Dame, and this kid summed up everyone's feelings (h/t @the_superhoo@nxdav1s and @martinrickman).

@WillsWorldMN @thrillis4 http://pic.twitter.com/bZGwMVojBI

— Ben S.(uperhoo) (@The_Superhoo) September 16, 2015

First, let's talk about the perfect placement of the ACC's copyright logo right on top of this guy. "ACC Football....Embrace the Sadness!" Incredible. This tremendous picture lead to some hilarious memes and other tweets, and here were two of my favorites:

Hush little wahoo don't you cry, mommie's gonna buy you some vineyard vines http://pic.twitter.com/PLy4wjH8Y5

— Nick Davis (@NxDav1s) September 12, 2015

i’m sorry http://pic.twitter.com/IeH1MZZdnC

— martin rickman (@martinrickman) September 12, 2015

10. Jameis Winston, your thoughts on the current state of the Bucs? (h/t @CorkGaines).

Jameis Winston is probably not saying "we're terrible" here, but if he is, he is right. https://t.co/3PyyEazfSO

— Cork Gaines (@CorkGaines) September 13, 2015

Oof. Not great, Bob!

And now, for your moment of wrasslin'...

THE JIM ROSS BAH GAWD MOMENT(s) OF THE WEEK!

Good ol' JR is here again this week, and he's gonna start us off with some ref on cameraman brutality, right from the ACC! Without further ado, take it away, JR!

Yeouch! Just blew that cameraman right up.

Next, JR took in the Panthers game, and man did he have some thoughts about Bene Benwikere's hit on Rashad Greene:

See y'all next week!
