NC State offensive linemen Alex Barr and Bryce Kennedy out for South Alabama game

There's some bad news on the injury front for NC State, not that it's entirely surprising at this point. The coaching staff had hoped to have Alex Barr back for South Alabama, but unfortunately, he'll have to sit out once again. Barr missed all of last weekend's game against Old Dominion.

Joining him on the bench is reserve offensive lineman Bryce Kennedy, who got hurt during the ODU victory. As The Wolfpacker's Jacey Zimbal outlines here, it's likely we'll see Joe Thuney at left tackle and Tyler Jones at left guard, at least initially.

On the bright side, redshirt freshman Garrett Bradbury is back and ready to help out Jones where necessary, while the right side of the offensive line remains in good shape, with Tony Adams at RG and Will Richardson at RT--and of course, Quinton Schooley handling the snaps.

So we're not exactly in crisis mode, and it helps that Thuney and Jones could swap positions, if NC State happens to get off to a slow start Saturday night. Still, it's a bummer to watch Barr miss another game. Let's hope he's full go when the games get more important, which is [checks watch] ... very soon.
