Coppin State transfer guard Christian Kessee considering NC State

NC State is after former Coppin State guard Christian Kessee, per CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein. Kessee led Coppin State in scoring this past season with 14.6 points per game. He also averaged 2.5 boards and 1.9 assists per game.

Coppin State transfer Christian Kessee told @CBSSports he is now considering NC State and Memphis. ODU, Tulane, and Wyoming also in mix.

Kessee, who is listed at 6'2 and 180 pounds, is a graduate transfer eligible to play immediately. Although he hasn't been much of a distributor during his career, he will give his next team a quality perimeter threat. He's a career 38.4% three-point shooter, and has been over 39% in each of the last two seasons.

He is also a career 79.7% free throw shooter.

He has your standard Short Guy Problems (which is to say he is a poor shooter inside the arc), but that is mitigated by the fact that he doesn't do a ton of attacking off the dribble. And NC State wouldn't need him to do that, anyway, what with the other guards already on board.
