NC State Offers Late Arriving 2016 Center

Here's the good news you were looking for

NC State has offered Cheickna Dembele. Dembele is a 6’10" center who was born in Mali, Africa and currently plays for the Scotland Performance Institute in Pennsylvania. He’s only been in the country a couple of months, but the lengthy center is already receiving high major offers, including the likes of Iowa State, Missouri, St. Joseph’s, and now the Wolfpack. He will certainly receive more before it is all said and done.

Dembele is a surprisingly polished player for someone who hasn’t been playing basketball but for a handful of years. According to nextuprecruits.com, Dembele is averaging 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 4.5 blocks so far this season for SPI. This is the best part though: the big man is shooting 80% (!!!!) from the line. That’s good even for a guard. Dembele reportedly has a consistent mid-range jumper and enough range to be able to hit from beyond the arc as well.

The SPI star’s skills are also showcased down low, where he has a nice hook shot and developing post moves. Here’s some more stuff about that, via hoopseen.com. He is a nice combination of athletic and skilled and I don't think you can understate how big of an addition he would be to next year's team if the description of his game is accurate.

Unfortunately this is the best highlight video I could find. It's long and it's just game footage of a bunch of different players with one of them being Dembele. He's number 128.
