NC State vs. Boston College odds: Wolfpack an early four-point favorite

NC State is a modest favorite for its road game at Boston College this week, but the Vegas lines have been trending in the Pack's direction, so I guess that's good, right? The Wolfpack opened as just a one-point favorite but that line has since shifted to NCSU -4, per Vegas insider.

State is up against an elite defense for the second consecutive week, though it should have some added confidence after putting up 41 on Clemson. And Boston College doesn't provide nearly the same level of support to its defense--the Eagles have not scored more than 17 points against an FBS team this season.

If NC State's defense is focused, it shouldn't take a lot of points for the Pack to pick up a win. Of course, State hasn't exactly had a great run in Chestnut Hill since BC joined the league, and the Pack could be without Matt Dayes and starting right tackle Will Richardson. Basically I have no idea what to make out of this game and recommend that we all hold onto our butts.
