NC State playing in 2016 Paradise Jam, per report

The NC State basketball team will be making a trip to the Virgin Islands to play in the 2016 Paradise Jam, per CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein. The rest of this early-season tournament field will reportedly include Ole Miss, Washington State, Loyola, Creighton, St. Joe's, Montana, and Oral Roberts.

We've actually suspected NC State was in this tournament since June, when the athletics department accidentally leaked the news in a video that has since been taken down. That video, which had a few different shots of assistant coach Jeff Dunlap's schedule board, also suggests NCSU will take part in the 2017 Battle 4 Atlantis.

Anyway, the trip to the Virgin Islands should be fun, and this time next year, the Wolfpack could be the odds-on favorite to win that tournament. And State should have the opportunity for a couple quality wins, even in there aren't any truly big-name programs involved in the tournament. Here, by the way, is the 2015 Paradise Jam field.
