No time for sympathy, because the schedule ain’t getting easier.
NC State will head into its home game against Florida State as a considerable underdog—the Wolfpack opened as a seven-point underdog to the Seminoles, per Vegas Insider. The Seminoles are coming off a painful home loss to Clemson.
We’ll see what the Wolfpack’s made of now, because if these guys can’t come together and figure out how to play better, this season could easily spiral out of control. Opportunity remains, but confidence is not exactly high these days.
On the plus side, FSU-NCSU is set for a 7 p.m. ET start, and the Pack has historically had some solid performances under those circumstances. NC State’s gonna need that night game boost, from the crowd especially, to make an upset bid a realistic possibility.
The Pack is once again behind schedule in terms of getting bowl eligible, and needs a break in the worst possible way. NC State hasn’t been good at creating its own good fortune lately.
