NC State is a 7-point favorite to beat Syracuse

The Wolfpack really needs to end its losing streak right here.

It took long enough, but there is finally a Vegas line on the NC State-Syracuse matchup: the Wolfpack are favored to win this game on the road by a touchdown. (h/t Josh Goodson) With Syracuse quarterback Eric Dungey’s status for Saturday uncertain, there’d been a hold on an official line until today.

Dungey is officially listed as “questionable” on Syracuse’s injury report after taking a really ugly-looking hit to the head against Clemson last weekend.

Dungey suffered two concussions as a freshman in 2015 and did not play in Syracuse’s 42-29 loss to the Wolfpack in Raleigh. As of Thursday night, he had not been medically cleared to play against NC State this weekend.

If he can’t go, that makes Syracuse’s passing game a lot more iffy, and they’re going to need that passing game to win. Maybe the line today is a clue as to his status, but we probably won’t know one way or the other until Saturday.
