Highlights! NC State snaps four-game skid with win over Syracuse

Enough with the losin’ business.

NC State finally put together a few positive big plays in the second half on Saturday, which allowed the Wolfpack to work around a blocked punt—among other bad mistakes—and finish with a relatively comfortable victory over Syracuse. The Pack probably should have had more than 35 points, but hey, winnin’ is winnin’.

Matt Dayes has gone over 100 yards rushing in seven games this season, and he is now a mere 61 yards from the 1,000-yard threshold. State, as you have probably heard by now, hasn’t had a 1,000-yard rusher since T.A. McLendon in 2002.

The defense played well for the most part, and limited the Orange to 28 yards on the ground, which was a big key since that offense had to rely on their backup quarterback to move the ball through the air. And generally, they weren’t successful at that.

Defense playing good, Dayes going over 100 yards—they keep these things up and this team might just get bowl eligible after all.
