NC State vs. Louisville: Jerod Fernandez, Tony Adams listed at top of depth chart despite injuries

Good news, most likely.

NC State released its updated depth chart for the Louisville game on Monday, and there are no significant changes. Notably, linebacker Jerod Fernandez and guard Tony Adams are listed as starters despite injuries they sustained against Louisville.

Adams (ankle) missed several series during the first half, giving Terronne Prescod the first serious playing time of his career. Fernandez suffered an undisclosed injury to his left arm during a tackle. Both players returned to the game after getting hurt, which is an encouraging sign.

NC State has been pretty fortunate on the injury front up to this point in the season, and that’s always crucial. It’s extra crucial when you don’t have a lot of depth. State’s gonna need Adams—who is State’s best offensive lineman—and Fernandez to contribute over the next six weeks if the team is going to get bowl eligible.

The depth chart is a good sign regarding those dudes’ conditions, but also it should be pointed out that Dave Doeren does just about every thing he can do to hide injuries, so it’s possible this is not an entirely truthful representation of the Pack’s health.
