NC State unranked and receives no votes in preseason Coaches Poll

Pfft, whatever, man.

I don’t expect NC State to be ranked to start the season, but maybe just a little bit of respect for the Wolfpack’s potential is deserved. The voting members of the Coaches’ Poll, disagree, as not one of them gave the Pack a vote. State finished with fewer votes than 11 other ACC teams.

So basically State is last among the projected middle tier of this league, and if that happens then so help me, I will eat a s... andwich. Fortunately, this ain’t college football, so these polls don’t play any factor whatsoever in which teams get to the postseason.

And it can’t hurt to give the team a little more motivation. At this point I think Dennis Smith’s entire bedroom is covered with underwhelming media picks and opinions about NC State this season.

Prove those media members (and coaches) wrong, kids, prove them wrong.
