Printable NCAA tournament bracket 2017: May the odds be ever in your favor

The field has been announced, so commence your guessin’.

Your printable NCAA tournament bracket with the entire field included is available right here at this link. Villanova is the No. 1 overall seed this year, and for the trouble it got a really tough region. UNC, Gonzaga, and Kansas also drew top seeds.

Here are some quick notes, spanning various potential NC State coaching search implications:

— (7) Dayton and (10) Wichita State meet in the first round of the South Region, opposite No. 2 Kentucky. It is therefore quite possible that both Archie Miller and Gregg Marshall are done after the first weekend, which is ideal as far as NCSU is concerned.

— Will Wade’s VCU Rams are the 10-seed in the West; they will open with St. Mary’s and then likely have to get through No. 2 Arizona to advance past the first weekend. Again, good chance Wade is available for job discussions after next weekend.

— Chris Holtmann’s Butler team earned a 4-seed and my initial impression is the Bulldogs have a fairly easy route to the Sweet Sixteen. Good news is, if they advance that far, it means both Winthrop (Pat Kelsey) and Minnesota (Pitino the Younger) will have been bounced in the first weekend.

— UNC-Wilmington (Kevin Keatts) is the 12-seed in the East with an opener against Virginia. Don’t think Keatts’ crew survives that game.

— (6) SMU and (3) Baylor are in the same pod in the East, which means one or both of Tim Jankovich and Scott Drew will be eliminated in the opening weekend.
