The Wolfpack Women pull off another upset, this time dropping No. 6 Florida State

We are the one who knocks?

NC State’s women’s basketball team has had a pretty remarkable week. First the Wolfpack Women beat No. 2 Notre Dame in Raleigh, ending the Irish’s 35-game ACC winning streak. Then the Pack went to Tallahassee and beat No. 6 Florida State by nine, ending the Seminoles 12-game winning streak.

Let's go!!!!!!!!!!! http://pic.twitter.com/E4BCgRM679

NC State is now 12-3 (2-0) and has vaulted about 30 spots in the RPI as a result of these big wins. The Pack missed out on the NCAAs by a very thin margin last season, and if it had closed out a couple of potential upset wins, the team’s fate would not have been in doubt.

This year, the Pack is leaving nothing to chance. They are 2-for-2 in close and late situations against very good opponents, and unlike last season they have some bullet points that loudly proclaim that rather loudly insist they should be in the NCAA tournament.

It remains to be seen how far this team can go, but so far, so very very good.
