Coach K having back surgery, taking leave of absence from Duke

The Blue Devils will be without their head coach for a few weeks.

Duke announced Monday that head basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski is having back surgery on Friday and will take an indefinite leave of absence. The time table for his recovery is roughly four weeks, but with stuff like this, you never know.

Per Jeff Goodman, Coach K has been in some pretty serious pain for a while now. While K is recovering, Jeff Capel will handle the head coaching duties, which probably won’t affect Duke much.
