Highlights! NC State rolls William & Mary, 48-14

Man it feels good to be writing a post like this again. NC State had little trouble with William & Mary on Thursday night, thanks to big nights from Ryan Finley, Matt Dayes, Jaylen Samuels, and the offensive line. State was methodical in this game, nickel-and-diming the ball down the field.

It wasn’t a terribly exciting brand of football, but it was all State required, and if we’ve learned anything by now, it’s that Dave Doeren ain’t gonna give an inch in intel if he can help it.

So the big plays and the up-tempo offense will have to wait for now. The Wolfpack didn’t have to dig deep to beat William & Mary, which had a lot of starters to replace from a defense that was not very good. Dayes crossed 100 yards rushing early in the second half as State erased whatever doubt remained in the contest.

With a crucial early-season game against ECU on the horizon, we’ve seen next to nothing. That’s ideal.
