UNOPPOSED GOP INCUMBENTS HOLD HIGH-DOLLAR FUNDRAISER (Shelby Star) – House Speaker Tim Moore and Rep. Kelly Hastings, unopposed Republican lawmakers, will hold a joint fundraiser Monday in Shelby at Ni Fen Parties & Provisions, one of the city's historically renovated buildings on South Lafayette Street. Hosts of the fundraiser paid $5,100 to each committee. Co-hosts paid $2,500 to each committee. Other amounts range from $1,000 to $50 per person to attend. Neither Moore nor Hastings face challenges in their re-election bids.
