Shooting guard Terry Henderson hasn't played for NC State since suffering a serious ankle injury during the first 10 minutes of the Wolfpack's season-opening loss to William & Mary. The initial prognosis ballparked Henderson's recovery time at six-to-eight weeks, but unfortunately that's proven far too optimistic.
Mark Gottfried on Terry Henderson's return: "If I had to guess, I'd say 2-3 weeks, minimum." #Wolfpack

Jan. 9 is eight weeks since the injury, and a return there would have given Henderson enough time to re-adjust and help the Wolfpack through a difficult ACC stretch. But let's say the return is three weeks from today, based on Gottfried's guess--that would put Henderson out for six more conference games, including contests against UNC-CH and Duke. State might be in a really tough spot by then, and that timetable appears to be best-case.
There are no gimmes on the conference schedule this season, with the exception, perhaps, of Boston College ... but that game isn't until March. Hope for the best, everybody!
