NC State will be big underdogs in 4 of last 7 games

I’d like to be the bearer of some positivity when it comes to the basketball program, but unfortunately, reality is not cooperating. According to KenPom.com’s projections, NC State will be the underdog in all of its remaining regular season games.

In four of those seven, State is at least a 10-point underdog: at FSU, at Wake, vs. UNC, vs. UVA. In the other three, the Pack is at best a five-point underdog (vs. Notre Dame, at GT).

So to say the picture going forward looks bleak is to put things a bit mildly. NC State’s offense has been on fire the last couple of games, scoring 1.25 points per possession in both games, and the team has nothing to show for it. The team really really needed something to show for that.

Now odds are it’s about to get really rough in Raleigh. Avert your eyes!
