Despite NC State football’s whole ... NC State football situation that it has going on currently and historically, fan support remains outstanding. The Wolfpack set a record for season tickets sold last season, and it’s going to be another strong year of fan support.

This is an impressive run of late but at the same time, um, are we all crazy people? Do we just love tailgating that much? It ain’t the stadium amenities, that’s for sure. And it usually isn’t the football. Somewhere along the way in the last 20 years this just became the thing we all do on Saturdays, and I am completely cool with that, regardless of what happens on the field. It is nice to have a sports culture completely distinct from your local league rivals.
I would imagine this year’s season ticket total will crack that top 10 list before the season starts, and this is actually one year that warrants legitimate interest: even the hardened cynics among you must acknowledge that this team could be very good. (I wouldn’t, though. Best to play it safe with the football gods.)
